Surreal to be Sitting in Venice Land of My Forebears
Quite surreal to be sitting in Venice (airport) watching the sunset and thinking about my forefathers (and foremothers) who left this land behind to bravely travel to Australia by boat all those years ago- never forget where you come from and your roots.

Back in in the land of my ancestors very briefly!!! Wonderful having a sneak peek at a city I haven’t seen since I was 12 years old with my magnificent Italian family!
Hopped on a bus from the airport and managed to squeeze a 1 hour stop in Venice whilst waiting for my ride to Ljubljana, Slovenia – the 95th nation I’ve lived, worked, studied in or simply backpacked around!!
