Short and Sweet Stay in Isle of Man

Yesterday I travelled by boat from Ireland (100) to the ISLE OF MAN (102) and had the chance to do a little sightseeing – this evening back to Bristol- if you haven’t read up on this fascinating little island nation then inform yourself!

It’s had a stable and unbroken government for over 1000 years and indigenous inhabitants are the Manx people.

It’s also home to one of the most famous international motorbike events of the year!

ISLE OF MAN – the 102nd country I’ve lived, worked, studied, volunteered or simply backpacked around! Had a magnificent short and sweet visit to this island nation, met some wonderfully friendly people with such a deep sense of community and warmth for each other.

Stunning beaches, feats of engineering, a playground for the Victorians back in the day, ancient history, mythology and just a fascinating place in general! Arrived and departed by sea!

Above all else I had a wonderful time thanks to the brilliant host Aoife Belle who showed me around her island home, introduced me to friends and family and welcomed me into her home and life – what an absolute legend!!

Thank you so much! Looking forward to meeting again around the world in the future.

Definitely somewhere I’d like to make it back to one day!
