PORTUGAL – the 107th country I’ve lived, worked, studies, volunteered in or simply backpacked around!!! Farewell you stunning nation! A true gem in Europe and one of my favorite countries on earth!!!
Here’s a “cheeky” snap getting my Pena out from the highest point in the amazing city of SINTRA, overlooking the Pena Palace in the surrounding hills!
I had an absolutely magnificent month in this stunning nation that stole my heart for many reasons, the stunning beaches, rich and vibrant history, multicultural society, incredible cuisine, fascinating architecture but most of all it was the people who truly stole my heart!!!
I was beaten up for standing up for what I believe is right (fighting racism), had my car towed and then told it was stolen and gone for good, fell in love time and time again with people and places, discovered things about myself I never knew and truly partied Lisbon style and more – yet still adore this city that I will definitely return and call home for some time in 2018!
I will return next year and without a doubt Portugal has earned a spot on my top 10 nations I’ve visited out 107 nations in the last 30 years of my wonderful time on earth!
